Dreaming...

Right now I wish we were... there or somewhere in the sun with nice waters around. Unfortunately though it keeps snowing here. Last night we started to attack the "you know what"... ugggg... I do not like taxes. What a mess! I'm learning how to do it now for Andy and will make it a lot simpler for next year :)

Phew.... it is so nice not to have classes at the moment. I don't start back up again until May 1st. I should go on vacation somewhere warm!

Our annual refresher

This weekend we're attending our annual marriage conference. I recommend it to anyone and everyone who is married even those who are planning to marry or are engaged (familylife.com - A Weekend to Remember). It a great eyeopener and reminder! The first session went well and now to bed because we have a long next few days of intense work and info to take in. It's a great check-up :)

Joke of the night: Men with pierced ears are most prepared for marriage as compared to men without pierced ears... this is because 1) they've experienced pain 2) they've bought jewelry

The Secret Mission Revealed!

It was pulled off... Karen got to go to D.C. while I watched the 5 younger Doane siblings. Karen said Scott and Erika were shocked and surprised. It all started out at 6am Wednesday when I arrived at the Doanes... Karen took my car and I took their big bad red truck because I needed the room for the kids to get to school (it was quite different driving a truck especially because the front seemed real long... I think the 15 passenger vans are easier to drive!). I know, I got some strange looks in the thing especially at CCS (who is that in there, it doesn't look like Karen or Scott). After school and picking them up we had a good time. After dinner we even went for an ice cream run. Andy joined us later for the rest of American Idol and the Olympics.
In the middle of the night I thought I heard someone up and then I thought I dreamed of someone throwing up. When it was time to wake everyone up for school my dream I found out wasn't really a dream. Christa threw up... awwwww. I took just Drew, Emily, and Abby to school while Christa stayed home sick and continually emptied her stomach (yuck!) and Micah was still sleeping (doesn't go to school Thursdays). Back at home Andy left around 9 for work and the three of us watched movies together. Micah and I ate lunch and then around 1pm Karen got home. It was pulled off!
Hope you feel better Christa!

Have no Fear!

For those of you who were worried sick for me... no need to anymore :) Somehow I managed to get my paper done and my book review and the million other things that had to be done today. Unfortunately the post office is NOT EFFICIENT! My book review will not arrive to the college until Thursday, that is 2 DAYS LATE after the deadline for my class. I do not know what will happen about that... I guess the worst is that I'll get a zero on that. What a waste I suppose if that is so! I read an entire book on epistemology in one day... talk about thinking what you know your believing and wherefore my reasoning is credible because it is intellectually virtuous blah blah blah stuff. Yeah... a headache.
Anyways... I have a secret mission over the next few days but I can't disclose the info until afterwards. I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for anyone :) Until next time...

The Infamous Dream :)

Ok, so yesterday came and passed and nothing happened! I went to the ONE wedding I had to go to and everything went well... except for on the ride there :) but we'll keep that a secret but all I have to say is I heard "you can't drive, I can't let you" and so I volunteered to drive very quickly to the officer so we wouldn't be late! Anyway... back to the real story. Unfortunately yesterday came and passsed without Becki getting married. For some reason a few months ago she was in my dream. I was so mad because she emailed everyone to say she was engaged and that she was getting married to *** on Feb. 18th. I had another wedding to go to already on that day... and WHY did she not tell us in person?? Anyway, I don't know what that was all about. Everything is perfectly normal. Maybe she meant next Feb. 18th... but that can't be because this is her year (one per year in the Morris family and it couldn't certainly be Danny). Hmmmm... any suggestions?

Kick it up a knotch!

Bam! Or so Emeril says. That is exactly what I need to do. I've got energy back and now I need to get my classes finished by Monday. Until Sunday morning I am living at my older brother and his wife's house in Norwalk as a full time mommy. They are out of town and I have to watch Nick (8), Katie (6), and Trinity (a yellow lab who might be a year). I should get a picture to post... but not of the dog, she still bites!
Until next time adios... Andy is about to get here to spend the night with us :)

It was fun :)

No pictures but here is the story...
We went to Olive Garden and the lady said it would be an hour and 20 minutes of a wait. I didn't think I could be out that long with my conditions and such. So we ditched that idea and the Milk Chocolate covered Strawberries from Malleys. Instead we went to Marcs and bought some special drinks (plus a few other things needed for everday cooking considering I haven't been to the store in a long time). While there Andy ordered us a pizza from Hungry Howies... it is the best! No cheese on his side with lots of meat toppings and on my side I got pepperoni and his cheese. And most definitely we got the CAJUN crust. We then headed to the blockbuster video and got a movie we never saw at the theaters which we thought we be good for "V Day" as the lady there called it. We got "Just Like Heaven" and it was pretty good, we liked it. We had our feast at home on the comfortable couch snuggling up with each other. It was much nicer than Olive Garden considering the circumstances.
P.S. Also after that we watched our entire Wedding DVD. It brought back lots of memories especially considering we never did watch it on our first anniversary :)
Goodnight all :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Or not so happy :( I'm just happy to have a normal body temperature however it is hard to swallow things and I'm avoiding sweets. How uncool! No chocolate on this very special day. At least my Valentine said he would take me out to Olive Garden if I was up to it tonight :) Oh... I do recall last year at this time...
Chasing around town for my Valentine because a mean pirate kidnapped him! Instead I would find 3 roses at each spot and a clue to the next place. Eventually we were united at Bucca de Beppo for a nice fine Italian Dinner with a dozen roses total. The food was delicious and then the barbershop quartet sang for us. And then he ran out (supposedly to the bathroom). I saw the waiter come to the table with a letter... I was so emotional because he was so creative but mad to have to chase him around town again I almost cried. I then opened the letter and found a room key to a hotel. How romantic it was! The whole hotel room was filled with pink and red balloons. He even packed essential items for the overnight and clothes for me to wear to work the next day. And that in a short capsule was our first Valentine's Day as a married couple :)

Congrats Loretta and Brad!

How exciting! I can't wait. Brad, you are so funny praying for twins... even funnier is that we are too (but for when I do get pregnant). Hopefully Loretta ate lots of sweet potatoes before she got pregnant and she does have the likelihood increased because of age :) Happy Oct. 12!

Crunch week turns into Crash week!

Yuck! So here is what I need to do by next Monday to get it overnighted to the college by Tuesday:
watch 14 more lecture vidoes
take 2 essay exams
do a book review (read the book first)
write a research paper (15 pages minimun)
**that is all for one class**

Unfortunately I have come down with stept throat :( I don't know what I'm going to do?

An interesting fact: My sister Kim had stept only once in her life... it just so happens that she was in her senior year of college on the week of Valentine's Day. If I would have done the normal college track... this would be my senior year and it just so happens to be the week of Valentine's Day. Wierd! I wish I would have known this because I would have planned ahead of time !!

For you nosey people who want all the details...

For those of you who thought I forgot all about my lover's birthday and left him all by himself at night (he's cute isn't he) ...
You're truly wrong. Even though I was a short 8 hours away I left him lots of mushy notes to open and even a present. Everything was hidden and went ALMOST according to plan... except for the fact that his phone didn't get my text messages at midnight on his birthday like it was supposed to. I had to call him several times and finally I got through later in the morning around 9am. Unfortunately, I had to tell him personally where the first hidden surprise was. (And then he thought he could just get off the hook easy by just asking me where the next thing was. NO WAY!). He had to play fair since I took the time to put it all in place. I wasn't going to let his cell phone mess up get in the way. For once it wasn't my phone. Oh and BY THE WAY, I did get a new phone on Monday. You can now get ahold of me problem free. It was about time they say my two year contract is up and give me a free phone.

Other than that... I'm looking forward to moving south! This weather is ridiculous!

Where have the last few weeks gone?

Ok... so I ended up making it to some things I wasn't planning on doing
anyways. It has been so long it seems since I've updated
this.
Levi and I had fun one Sunday in the nursery demolishing blocks. Andy ended up having a birthday party (sort of) at Abey and Sarah's house. At least the whole family could make it there for once. Then there are the pictures of me and some of the Hylton kids while I was in North Carolina (Libby, Jenna, & Samuel)... plus the new Hylton additions, Molly (white) and Max (brown). Back in Ohio I was able to make Katie's 6th birthday party on Superbowl Sunday.
